Production Statement

We really enjoyed the discussion about wether our film was real or not.
At the begining we didn't want to tell at all, but after reading several people's comments,
who were seriously thinking about trying this on their own,
we decided to reveal officially that we used some digital magic to make the film.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TRYING THIS IN REAL LIFE!

We spend much effort in making Bruno's Jump as believable as possible,
filming it in a single shot without adding any edit. Therefore the position of
the camera, the speed of the pan and the timing of zooming in and out were of great importance.
There are many theories about how we made it in detail,
we almost read all of them.
Some were quite close but still, everyone thinks that there is an edit in the jump.
There is none.
As our 3D artist and our compositing artist did such a great job, we hid several hints on the audio level so the whole thing wouldn´t become too real.
As many viewers already pointed out,
the sound of the sliding is too loud and there isn't any audio/video delay.
These little cues and the fact that the guys are throwing only two buckets of water, are supposed to give the clip an eye‐twinkling‐attitude.

Thats what this film is all about in the first:
being an entertaining demonstration of the unbelievable possibilities of good planning.
